Can’t Cry Over Spilled Milk

Two melon sized blisters shivering chills through Noami body. It was a constant pain and leaking. She think every mother wishes to bond with their baby through and feeding, but sadly due to Naomi being Hiv positive she could not and she was very dissappointed. That urge quickly went away once Naomi felt her soft warm baby boy in her arms. Since Naomi nipples were still in need of some relief. Her mother in law told her to get into a steaming hot shower and let the warm water run over her swollen breast. Massaging them allowed the milk to slowly seep out. May sound a little graphic but that is what it took. Naomi even tried applying layers of lettuce over her breast then put on her nursing bra and let it do its majic. Believe or not it worked to say the least. Naomi would have rather had her baby lacthed on of course, but one cant cry over spill milk. The greatest reward for her was having a baby. To carry this very small, sweet soft bundle of joy to term and feeling this very small life inside of me with no complications was a miracle. Naomi and her baby had a connection from the very first kick she was in love with this very small, fragile and freshly baby scented bundle of joy. Each delivery was different for me, but both all so very unique and special. My mother presence would have made it even more sweet of a celebration, but having her mother in law was nothing but a blessing from god and she could not have went through the process without her. Whenever Naomi would be sick her mother in law would allow her to rest whenever she came down with a vital bronchial infection. Her mother in law was always their to nurse me back to health by putting vicks on my feet and dose me up with lots of tlc. I have always been pretty fortunate when it came to the care of my son. My mother in law took care of my son daily and she was the best reliable person I know. Naomi often worried about her medical condition, but never had to worry about her child’s well being it was all well taken care of. As parents I learn you have to co-exist and communicate with the other party when their is a child involved just that simple. Naomi had to quickly take her wings and grow up and deal with being a first time mother and getting through many obstacles along the way. Laying eyes on this small life gave me hope and determination to want to keep going on.
